I bought a starter pack from doTERRA last week. It came with a book “Modern Essentials.” It is all about the oils they carry, what they do, how to use them, and illnesses that you can reference to see what would work. I just really started reading it from front to back today, but it didn’t work too well… my attendant wouldn’t stop talking and crying…her usual up-and-down moods! I really didn’t miss her when she was gone!
Anyway, I think I am going to work on one herb and one essential oil a week. I am going to research it, find articles about it, find recipes and dosages, whatever. I will do this until I start to run out of information to find. This might end up taking more than a week, though…maybe I ought to make it every month! With all I have to do, that might be more reasonable….okay, so there it is.
Fibromyalgia is listed in the book (pg. 172) and it recommends Deep Blue®, wintergreen, helichrysum, lavender, rosemary, and thyme. These can all be used topical. It recommends 1-2 drops of oil to 1 tbs of fractionated coconut oil, and then massage on painful area… but what if your whole body is painful? Can I take these internally? The book has a “T” showing its topical, but some of these can be taken internally. I want to find out if they will help in this manner. I also want to research inflammation, herbs, and essential oils… but one step at a time. I think I want to see some results with the FM and migraines before I go much further. I want to know if this stuff really does what they say it will. Headaches (pg. 176) says Past Tense®, peppermint, rosemary, Deep Blue®, eucalyptus, frankincense, patchouli, basil, marjoram, lavender, clove… apply 2 drops each of peppermint, eucalyptus, and frankincense to neck, temples, and forehead. Migraines add ylang ylang, and tension headaches are pretty much same as regular headache. Sugar headaches add OnGuard®.
Those are the main illnesses, essential oils, and herbs I need to work on first. Then we will go from there. Try to get back tomorrow to update this. TTFN
